The validity and reliability of a Thai version of the Angioedema Control Test: Which recall period is preferable?

The Angioedema Control Test (AECT) is a questionnaire that monitors disease control in patients with angioedema, with a recall period of 4 weeks (AECT-4wk) or 3 months (AECT-3mo).

Humoral SARS-CoV-2 immunogenicity wanes 3 months after heterologous inactivated vaccine followed by ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 in autoimmune rheumatic diseases

Alongside vaccine hesitancy, impaired and waning immunity in autoimmune rheumatic diseases (ARDs) are barriers to immunization. The timeframe of immunity waning in ARD remains unclear.

The association between MTHFR polymorphism, dietary methyl donors, and childhood asthma and atopy

Studies investigating the genetic association of the C677T methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) genotype and dietary methyl donors with asthma and atopy are limited, and have variable results.

Improving cytokine-induced killer cell expansion using a gas-permeable culture method for clinical-scale production

Cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells are a heterogeneous group of immune cells that exert potent MHC-unrestricted cytotoxicity toward various cancer cells in both solid and hematological malignancies.

Bosentan versus nifedipine in the treatment of vasculopathy in systemic sclerosis patients: A randomized control trial

Bosentan is effective agent in scleroderma vasculopathy. However, there are no studies evaluating effectiveness of bosentan in Vietnamese patients, where nifedipine is still the common treatment.

Real-life efficacy and drug continuation of secukinumab in treating moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in Aegean region of Turkey: a multicenter retrospective study and systematic review of the literature

Secukinumab was demonstrated to be efficient in the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in the phase studies. Real-life treatment experiences obtained from patients that do not meet the inclusion criteria of phase studies can provide valuable information on efficacy and safety results. Results may also differ in different ethnic populations.

An online survey of clinical practice for allergic rhinitis among the Asia-Pacific representatives

Physicians’ knowledge and practice which are consistent with evidence-based guidelines can improve allergic rhinitis (AR) patients’ care. Compared with western countries, the available literature about Asian doctors’ perceptions and clinical practices regarding Allergic Rhinitis and its Impacts on Asthma (ARIA) guidelines is limited.

Expression of ASC splice variant found in Japanese patients with palindromic rheumatism is regulated by rs8056505 single nucleotide polymorphism and interleukin-1 beta

Palindromic rheumatism (PR) is an infrequent form of periodic arthritis. Based on the similarity of the pathogenesis of PR to autoinflammatory syndromes, we previously found that the dominant-active splice variant of the inflammasome adaptor protein, apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC), which lacks exon 2 (Δexon2), is expressed in Japanese patients with PR.

Oleuropein attenuates inflammation and regulates immune responses in a 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene-induced atopic dermatitis mouse model

Olive (Olea europaea Linn) leaves contain a phenolic compound oleuropein (Ole) has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory activities. However, whether Ole might be an effective treatment for atopic dermatitis (AD) remains unknown.
